Can you describe the extent of any relevant work experience you might have?
During my third year, I created visuals for a live events studio
How would you describe your contribution to your group project?
As Lead FX Artist on Night Terrors, I was responsible for creating and integrating visual effects that enhanced the film’s eerie and surreal atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed this project for its unsettling concept, which allowed me to explore darker creative themes and push my artistic boundaries.
What do you specialise in and what made you choose that specialism?
I'm currently exploring the path of becoming an FX artist, while also interested in the world of live events and installations.
What would your ideal first role in the industry be?
3D Generalist
Which of your student projects are you most proud of, and why?
I’m really proud of Samuel Greer. When I started at university, I came in knowing almost nothing—but in my first year, I met Sam and instantly felt like I had a friend. He was patient, understanding, and taught me so much about 3D and VFX. Without him, my experience at Escape would have been a lot harder. I’m truly grateful for his support and mentorship.
What’s a piece of media (film, game, animation) that changed the way you think about your discipline?
One piece of media that really shaped the way I think about FX is the James Bond film series. They’ve always stood out to me for their bold use of visual effects and practical stunts. Growing up, Bond films were a big part of my life—my family and I would always watch them together, so they’re tied to a lot of good memories. As I got older and started studying VFX, I began to appreciate the creativity and technical precision that goes into making those iconic sequences. It made me realize how powerful FX can be in building excitement and atmosphere, and it’s definitely influenced the kind of work I aspire to create.
