Can you describe the extent of any relevant work experience you might have?
I'm experienced with working with a group of people in a team, with plenty of communication and organisation. I'll be able to use these skills when I entering the VFX industry.
How would you describe your contribution to your group project?
In this project, "Night Terrors", my role was 2D compositing/prep artist, where I had to roto a person and clean up the tracking markers within the shot and bring back the shadows. I also integrated CG into shots, matching the lighting and colour values of surrounding areas.
What do you specialise in and what made you choose that specialism?
As a 2D VFX Artist, I have focused on advanced clean up and rotoscopy in my time at Escape. I chose these specialisms to prepare myself for a role as a roto/paint artist within the industry.
What would your ideal first role in the industry be?
Roto/Paint Artist
Which of your student projects are you most proud of, and why?
The student project I'm most proud that I've done at Escape would be "Project: B.B/Robotic Workshop". I'm proud of this as it was my first time working with a team on a VFX project and met many new friends during this project. I also learned many technical skills from my teammates, who helped me develop as an artist.
What’s a piece of media (film, game, animation) that changed the way you think about your discipline?
"Avengers: Infinity Wars" inspired me because of the wide variety of CG integrated seamlessly to show off a nice, visually appealing shot/film.
