Can you describe the extent of any relevant work experience you might have?

I took part in a six-month boot camp run by infinity27, where I worked on props for a hyper-realistic, souls-like game on Steam called 'Samsara'.

How would you describe your contribution to your group project?

In the project Shutters Eye my role was lead Character artist. Our project's style took a lot of inspiration from horror games such as PT and realism art style so there was a solid amount of references to follow for the project to achieve the right look. I also conceptualized a lot of things the player experiences within the room such as, what changes would be made to the room upon each loop, what anomalies would be found, and where and how the different rooms would be ordered to better convey the story.

What do you specialise in and what made you choose that specialism?

I chose Character art because I've always enjoyed creating characters and creatures, even before I started studying game art.

What would your ideal first role in the industry be?

Junior character artist or 3d modeller generalist.

Which of your student projects are you most proud of, and why?

My year 2 spealism is my personal favourite, mainly because of how much fun I had coming up with the idea and creating it. I also learned a lot during that project.

What’s a piece of media (film, game, animation) that changed the way you think about your discipline?

Elden Ring definitely opened my eyes when it came to their character and creature designs, but more than anything that game showed me how a story can mainly be visual storytelling and still be just as intriguing.
