Can you describe the extent of any relevant work experience you might have?
I have no work experience in any game industry, however, I have had a lot of opportunities to learn at Escape Studios to obtain a lot of techniques and got some help from the tutor and studio assistance with my work to improve small details, learning new software, and new ways to improve my work. I have had a lot of experience working within a group and have learned what it means to work in a team.
How would you describe your contribution to your group project?
In the project Shutters Eye, my role was to be a hard surface modeler. The project's style took inspiration from Exit 8 and NieR: Automata. There was a strong background of references and rules to follow for the project to achieve the desired feel. The project takes place in Thailand, and we want to create a more realistic art style for the environment and the props that represent the living of Thailand, with the addition of a horror theme.
What do you specialise in and what made you choose that specialism?
I specialise in hard surface props and assets. I picked this specialism because it gives me the challenge of creating the assets in much more detail and lets me help on improving more in my modeling skills and find new techniques.
What would your ideal first role in the industry be?
Working on hard surface props and assets.
Which of your student projects are you most proud of, and why?
I am proud of my specialism project of the car I modelled because it helped me to improve my modelling skills, pushing me to add more detail learn how to use different tools, learn new skills, and learn how to keep it detailed without increasing the poly count of the car and also learning different methods to model a car by using different shapes.
What’s a piece of media (film, game, animation) that changed the way you think about your discipline?
I have played a game that really inspired me, giving me a creative mind to do work, and a great source of inspiration to create and model assets. The game was "Elden rings".
